Working directly with the clients, or other event teams, our team will curate all of the details for a five-star destination event.

Meet our founder

Katie Kozlowski

Katie graduated from a top Journalism school with a portfolio of clips and big dreams to tell stories, she never imagined that she’d end up getting to tell stories through events. Her first job, working on a Bob Dylan + Willie Nelson tour of minor league ballparks launched her career in events. 20 years later, Katie has worked on events around the globe: From parties on a private island to meetings in a Yurt in the mountains, to dance parties in the jungle and milestone celebrations on the Amalfi Coast. KK Destination Events is built on crafting memorable and unique experiences for you and your guests.

I first called Katie to get her thoughts about one of our clients who wanted to host a destination meeting + retreat, and our event team was looking for ideas on what to pitch. Without pause, Katie jumped into so many clever ideas: From a scavenger hunt through the BVIs, a wellness experience in France and a race around the Matterhorn in Switzerland. Within three weeks, she had actualized this “what if” conversation, getting our clients set up with a perfect hotel, an impossibly cool adventure race in Zermatt with the best local experts and so many other cool experiences. Our team filled out the experience with event details, but she made us look great in front of our client - and she blended into our team seamlessly. (Though she requested that I make it clear that the normal time to plan an event like this is 4-6 months, but she made miracles happen!).

The logistics  - from the travel arrangements for our large family, to the destination details (where to stay, what to do, how to get there, what to pack, what to expect, what if this, what if that, what is special and unique) to special details that she worked in to each day to make it a celebration - were meticulously planned and so special. She anticipated things that we would never have thought about (like specific sunscreen and packing techniques) and put together local celebrations and touches - like photographers, child-focused educational guides, birthday treats, local experts and the most special 80th birthday party to end it all. I don’t know how she kept it all straight while also being so creative, but we could not have done it without her.”
